Assistant Professor of Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Alma College, Alma, Michigan invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position beginning August 2020.

The department seeks a faculty colleague with a strong grounding in clinical or counseling psychology. The successful candidate should demonstrate commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts context, and welcome opportunities for mentoring student research and/or supporting practica or other clinical experiences. Teaching responsibilities will include Abnormal Psychology, upper-level clinical and/or counseling courses, and courses that meet departmental or institutional needs, such as introductory psychology courses or courses in the college’s general education curriculum. Teaching load is six courses per year. A Ph.D. is required prior to the start date.
