Allegheny College, a small selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of House Manager. The position is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Office of the President.

The House Manager will maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of a college owned residence and other properties. Work cooperatively with others, and accept direction from supervisor and other occupants of the house. Coordinate with the Office of Physical Plant and outsourced housekeeping firm to ensure that landscaping, home repairs and maintenance are taken care of. Receive guests, coordinate schedules with dining/catering and provide on-site assistance for events. Post event clean-up is required. Perform weekly inventory so that adequate supplies of liquor and non-alcoholic beverages are well stocked.

A High School diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge, or willingness to learn, Google docs, spreadsheets, calendar and email are preferred. Must be able to obtain Act 153 clearances, possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to be on-call as needed.
