Join our team at CU Boulder! We encourage applications for an Event Planning and Communication Coordinator to support the newly established Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). Working with Strategic Relations and Communications, and under the supervision of the CTL Director, this position facilitates and coordinates communications for the Center, including content and design for print, web, digital, email and social platforms. This position further supports the planning, coordination, and organization of Center programs and events.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will BeMarketing and Communications
- Work collaboratively with Strategic Relations and Communications on CTL website updates and content, as well as active management of social media platforms.
- Work collaboratively with Strategic Relations and Communications to anticipate and plan communications from the CTL and to engage enthusiastically in media relations.
- Build regular updates and news stories about the CTL for the campus community. This includes publishing a newsletter.
- Liaise with other teaching entities on campus to maintain a common calendar of pedagogic activities on campus.
- Maintain and update mailing database.
- Design and disseminate print and digital advertisements, invitations, and handouts for CTL events.
- Maintain publication archives, including photos, videos, images, logos, and marketing materials.
- Facilitate the planning, organization and execution of CTL events including managing the calendaring of workshops, seminars, gatherings, and other events.
- Arrange event logistics such as room scheduling, catering, AV needs, photography, etc.
- Assist CTL Leads with coordinating faculty, graduate students, and campus groups.
- Train and supervise student staff who assist with programs, special events, and office functions.
- Very occasional weekend or evening hours to assist with events will be required.
- Salary Range Starts at $50,000.

Be StatementsBe Collaborative. Be Driven. Be Boulder.What We Require- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree from an accredited college or university (OR an equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis).
- At least 2 years’ experience managing websites and electronic communication projects, executing electronic marketing campaigns, and/or working in a copywriting, communications, public relations or a related position.
- Proficiency in computer software, including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, social media applications, graphic and video tools.
- Experience writing for diverse outlets (web, print, social media) and audiences.
- Experience with event planning.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex assignments.
- Ability to exercise excellent time management skills to prioritize projects and achieve program needs and goals.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and within collaborative work situations.
- Experience working in the higher education environment.
- Experience with audio and video recording software.
- Experience delivering workshops or presentations.
- 5 years of program or event management experience in a complex organization.
- 5 years of experience working in an organization whose goals and mission are dedicated to achieving diversity and inclusion.
