Associate Director of Graduate and Online Admission

Job description


Reporting to the Director of Graduate and Online Admission, the Associate Director will plan, coordinate, and implement recruiting and yield activities in order to secure a strong diverse student body for our graduate and online programs. The Associate Director is responsible for creating a collaborative environment, addressing student inquiries in a timely manner, and providing information to prospective students, academic advisors, counselors, faculty, staff, and alumni. This position requires travel to events in Indiana and various other locations as determined by the recruitment plan.

Principal Accountabilities:

Works with director, academic departments, and community partners to meet enrollment goals. Plan for and travel to colleges and universities for student recruiting events. Represent graduate and online programs at regional/national conferences. Represents graduate health programs at Catholic, Franciscan, and independent colleges/universities. Develop and maintain close working relationships with advisors, faculty program directors, and corporate partners. Cultivate relationships with corporate sponsors and professional organizations. Develop and maintain communication and marketing plans. Planning and execution of events for prospective and accepted students and their family members. Creates and maintains campus visit programs. Enters and maintains data for inquiries to enrollees in Marian’s different recruitment databases. Produces internal or external application and enrollment reports. Provide excellent customer service to all constituents consistent with institutional mission and values. Develop and monitor statistical reports to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Understand current and future markets, entry points, and building of networks and contacts.

    Candidates should have an earned a bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, leadership, management, marketing, communications, or a related field. Graduate degree in one of stated disciplines is preferred. Graduate or Online admissions/recruitment experience is desired.

    Other requirements include:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and reports, legal requirements, governmental regulations, university policies and procedures. Ability to write correspondence and to effectively present information and respond to questions. Ability to meet deadlines for meetings, projects, reports and assignments. Must have strong computer skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Essential Functions:

    Work hours necessary to perform job requirements satisfactorily on a regular basis. Manage absence from work in responsible manner to ensure service to clients, work teams, and coworkers. Comply with Marian University policies and practices and seeking clarification of them when necessary.
