Classroom Assistant Pool

The Classroom Assistant (CA) is responsible for providing academic support in the classroom/laboratory to students who are enrolled in career/occupational programs.

The Classroom Assistant is a Part-Time, 19-hour per week position. The position will work on a schedule established by the Program Director/faculty they are reporting to. The CA may work in the classroom and/or laboratory setting assisting students under the supervision of the faculty.The CA must be able to work well with instructors.

Pay rates vary dependent on qualifications.

Essential Functions:

Adhere to the job description and perform in an ethical manner.Complete and submit time sheets, with the supervisor’s signature, to the Perkins grant office in accordance with the payroll schedule.Follow the supervisor’s direction. Submit reports and other materials as required by the Perkins office if applicable.Assist in assessment of effectiveness of the CA program as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check with finger printing.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Verbal and mathematical skills sufficient to perform the duties of the position, including the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
