The department is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part-time temporary teaching positions and full-time visiting faculty position openings. (Please note: FT Visiting positions are rare and they should not be the sole purpose for your application.)Major Responsibilities
A classroom based 3 credit hour course pays $2875 per class.The department typically hires for the courses/subject areas listed below but this list is not all inclusive. Other courses/subject areas may become available within the department. ILLUSTRATIVE NEEDS INCLUDE: laboratory instructors for majors and non-majors introductory biology, cell biology, genetics, human anatomy and physiology, microbiology for non-majors, and ecology. The department often hires instructors to teach lecture sections of introduction to environmental studies.Functional and Supervisory Relationships
Adjunct instructors report to principal instructor of course(s) and/or laboratory coordinator. Chair is hiring manager for all adjunct positions in the department.Required Qualifications
Appropriate level of experience and/or Master’s degree in biological fields related to course subject area.Preferred Qualifications
