At this unique and exciting moment, the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing seeks an entrepreneurial Senior Director of Development Associate Dean of Advancement & Alumni Engagement (SrDoD). The ideal candidate will lead, coordinate, and develop strategy for the expansion of philanthropy, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.

S/he will have significant fundraising experience with a demonstrated record of successful solicitations, including the design and execution of the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies, from a variety of defined and non-defined constituencies, i.e. friends, parents, corporations, foundations, and alumni. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with strong written and oral presentation skills and the ability to articulate the mission and goals of the School in a compelling manner.

The successful candidate will identify and maintain a portfolio of 120 – 150 major gift prospects; devise cultivation, solicitation, and closure strategies for each prospect. The ideal candidate will have extensive planning and solicitation experience, within a complex higher education institution, medical enterprise, or hospital system.

The SrDoD will have the demonstrated ability to motivate staff, maintain and promote best practices, engage participation from all levels, and generate excitement and energy for the mission and programs of the School. The successful candidate will provide inspired strategy and leadership to manage a comprehensive development operation, as well as a commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, excellence, and diversity.
