Under supervision of Sleep lab Manager, the Sleep Practice Support Administrative Specialist is responsible for overseeing day to day patient flow meeting accreditation requirement in sleep center. Typical duties include performing patient account analysis to ensure patient compliance and tracking, and ensuring accreditation compliance. Serves as a liaison for physician/patient care staff, Durable medical equipment companies, and patient/families.
Provides training and technical resource to staff, assists management in assessing problem areas related to accuracy and procedural deficiencies, monitors and tracks sleep center accreditation compliance and tracking. Maintain accreditation record keeping for sleep center. Provides administrative support for sleep related administrative duties for lab to the sleep lab manager. Ability to work from multiple locations, fast paced environment, and high accuracy in reporting and documentation. May perform other related duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
Two (2) years Ambulatory or Sleep lab experience in large, complex healthcare environment.
Demonstrated understanding of the patient sleep workflow process.
Proficient user, MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.
Familiar with hospital patient access systems.
Superb customer service skills.
- Associate Degree in health sciences or equal relevant experience.
- Experience in Sleep Lab, durable medical equipment, Medical assistant, Sleep technician, or respiratory.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Participates in 7/24 on-call rotation.
