Preferred QualificationsPosition Summary

This position is responsible for administrative and supervisory work in Dining Service Retail Operations. Work involves planning, organizing and implementation of food service work at Campus Eateries Satellite Retail locations. Work involves assisting the Food Operations Manager, for food quality and production, is performed under the direction of Retail Dining Manager or Food Operations Manager, and is evaluated through observation and in terms of customer satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Extensive knowledge in operation of a food service with a diversified staff. Good interpersonal skills. Special event planning and production. Knowledge of food service sanitation. Knowledge of health & safety requirements applicable to a large scale food service operations. A basic knowledge of PC’s and or food production software. Ability to effectively supervise the work of others. Ability to maintain a variety of operating & general records. Knowledge of institutional or commercial Food Service management procedures & practices.

Most duties require light to heavy lifting; ability to work long hours standing or sitting.

Responsible for opening and closing Campus Eateries. Counts, and verifies cash drawers and change fund, and makes deposits. Transports cashiers and cash drawers to each unit.

Assists in training of cashiers, production, and delivery personnel. Assists in data entry of information into the food pro system. Places orders for sandwiches, salads, and baked goods from on-campus facility.

Assists in planning of special events and promotions for campus eateries. i.e., football games, showcases, cookouts, etc. Involved in testing the marketability of new items for sale. Maintains inventory records.
