Performs general cashier duties such as taking payments, making changes and issuing official receipts.
• Takes payments using the University’s automated registration program.
• Disburses checks to students.
• May prepare stop payment on checks.
• Balances cash drawer and receipts, documents discrepancies.
• Collects debts owed to the University.
• Works with other departments specifically with the Police Department in providing assistance with issuance of permits and collection of citation payments.
• Must be able to work under stressful conditions and flexible working hours.
• Other duties as assigned

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

Cashiering experience and use of a ten-key calculator, good communication skills and the ability to work well in general public.

Work Study eligible required.
Current FAFSA submitted.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of special equipment used in the field. Word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Use of standard office equipment.
