Verify the readiness and satisfactory physical condition of all portable fire extinguishers and Automated External Defibrillators located throughout campus (and some directly adjacent areas). Inspect each extinguisher (may exceed 300 individual extinguishers monthly) and/or AED on a monthly basis. Results of the inspection are recorded both on a physical tag affixed to each extinguisher and barcode-scanned into a specialized tracking system. Candidates will possess excellent communication skills to ensure that building occupants understand the purpose of their visit and also maintain the tracking database for accuracy and reporting purposes. Work hours are generally flexible, but assigned tasks will be completed within the monthly time frame allotted.
