The Research Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery, under the Miami Transplant Institute will have as his or her main duty, the conduct of reliable and independent laboratory research on Xenotransplantation. The successful candidate should hold a PhD and/or MD degree and have research expertise in Xenotransplant related research.
The individual’s research must have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. The person in this position will also write and submit grant proposals, select and recommend equipment, define duties of laboratory personnel, supervise laboratory personnel and/or graduate students, collect and analyze data, and write scientific papers and abstracts. This candidate will be expected to become a member of the Miami Transplant Institute. Reappointments are reviewed annually and are contingent upon performance and availability of funding.
