PhD. in Forensic Science and Chemistry or equivalent is required, postdoctoral experience preferred. Research in Forensic Science with applications to analytical chemistry or other fields that complement the current faculty in the department. Applicants should have awareness of and sensitivity to educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience. Testing Requirements:Illustrative Examples of Work: Excellence in research and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level is expected. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in Forensic Science as well as selected courses in other complementary disciplines. Teaching duties may include upper division undergraduate lectures and laboratory courses, and graduate lecture courses. Participation in service to the department, college and university is also expected. The successful candidate will be expected to write grants to develop active research programs in the department. The candidate must demonstrate awareness and experience understanding the needs of a student population of great diversity in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language and academic preparation through inclusive course materials, teaching strategies and advisement.
