Project Manager - EIS
Enterprise Information Systems (EIS), within the Office of Information Technology, seeks a Project Manager who will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and championing various software projects including software integrations, new software implementations, and operational projects such as software releases or database upgrades to continuously improve the software products and services supporting St. Edward's University. In coordination with the Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) team, this person will provide project management oversight throughout all phases of the software delivery lifecycle while continuously working to build strong partnerships with other OIT teams and partner offices across the university. Incumbent is accountable for providing project plans that baseline activities and timelines, proactively manage deviations, identifying and managing project risks, ensuring the project team is properly defined and staffed, and making sure the appropriate internal and external teams are engaged to meet overall project objectives so that EIS may enhance existing (and deploy new) technologies, processes, and capabilities with agility.
To be considered for this position, a bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience in project management or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in higher education and an understanding of higher education business practices preferred. Experience with ERP applications in higher education, including knowledge of add-on software such as document management systems or workflow engines. Experience managing projects with Salesforce CRM or identity management software a plus. Strong familiarity with a broad range of information technology concepts'especially those concepts associated with enterprise information technology infrastructure, identity management, sophisticated websites, database design and integrity, software development and business intelligence. Work experience as a product owner or project manager on a team using Agile methodologies as well as waterfall methodologies is strongly preferred. Project Management certification is strongly preferred. Must possess the ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
