Responsibilities:

The Department of Religious Studies at DePaul University invites applicants for a tenure track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in September 2020. We are looking for a candidate who specializes in religions in Asia (including Central, South, East, and South East Asia). We are particularly interested in applicants from Religious Studies and allied disciplines whose research and teaching complement the interests and strengths of our interdisciplinary department. Scholars working on critical approaches to race, gender and sexuality, social hierarchies and inequality, and power struggles and political movements are encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications:
DePaul seeks candidates with demonstrated cultural competencies to include teaching, service, and research in diverse learning communities. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D., but advanced ABDs will be considered if they expect to defend by the start date.

Location

Located in Chicago, Illinois, DePaul has two primary campuses and four suburban locations.
