St. Edward's University invites applications for appointment as a full time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Counseling to begin January 2020.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, and service commensurate with Assistant Professor rank. Tenure-track faculty are expected to teach a full load (4/4) in fall and spring. Summer teaching is available. Supervision of internship, academic advising, service on university committees, scholarly production, and other responsibilities expected of faculty.

Qualifications (required)
Earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in Counseling/Counselor Education and Supervision. University teaching experience in counseling with excellent references required. Three to four years of teaching (post-doctorate) in a master's level counseling program together with clinical experience is necessary. Formal training and experience in counselor supervision required. Candidate must be licensed as a professional counselor supervisor. Candidate will possess the ability to teach general core courses comprising a Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) program. Knowledge of and experience with 2016 CACREP standards is required. Candidates with a strong commitment to enhancing diversity in academia, social justice, fostering the university's global initiative, and supporting strategic priorities should reflect such in their application materials. Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check is required.

Preferred
Experience with university-based community counseling clinics
Ability to support the program's assessment plan
Demonstrated commitment to advocacy of the counseling profession
Ability to contribute to our CMHC and MCFC concentrations
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Experience working within a school counseling program
Ability to teach across modalities including F2F, blended/hybrid and on-line

Rank and Salary
Tenure track status and ranking of Assistant Professor is available; salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
