The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at San Diego State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the broad area of digital signal processing as applied in a wide range of fields such as, but not limited to, audio, image and video processing, signal processing over networks, signal processing in communication systems, biomedical signal processing and signal processing in cyber physical systems. The applicant must hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related discipline at the time of appointment. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an active externally funded research program, achieve excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, advise students, and participate in departmental governance.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is strongly committed to excellence in both research and teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The department offers an ABET-accredited B.S. degree program in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, M.S. program in Electrical Engineering, and joint Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering. The ECE Department has over 30 full-time and part-time faculty members, including 3 IEEE Fellows.
