General Description / Primary Purpose

We are seeking a candidate with experience in a range of courses including molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, and/or microbiology. The successful applicant will be able to act as Course Coordinator of the primary assignment, but the ability and willingness to teach a variety of courses is highly desirable.

Responsibilities will include, coordinating with professors, lecturers, GA’s and laboratory managers, preparing materials for laboratory meetings, maintaining the course laboratories, developing new laboratory exercises, training and supervising graduate assistants, maintaining and updating laboratory manuals, organizing grading and assessments, teaching at least 4-5 lab sections.

The minimum qualifications are a Master’s degree in biology or a related discipline. Preferred qualifications: Excellent interpersonal skills and experience as lead instructor for a college-level biology course.
