The Institute of Gerontology offers a university-wide graduate Certificate of Gerontology, a Master of Public Health with a gerontology focus, and two dual degrees: Master of Social Work/MPH-Gerontology and PharmD/MPH-Gerontology. Position Summary

YOU MUST BE A CURRENT EMPLOYEE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA OR THE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM OF GEORGIA TO APPLY TO THIS POSITION

This position will develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop and implement recruitment and retention of student, and will be responsible for long-term strategic planning for curriculum.

Additional Requirements

•An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent) in public health, psychology, or a closely related field.
• 5-7 years of teaching experience
• 5-7 years of training in mentoring, pedagogy, and diversity
• Clinical work experience in a public health setting

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or CertificationPreferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

• A record of successful online and on-campus development and teaching of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels

The new hire will enroll in the service learning fellow program to develop and teach the course. Develop and teach new undergraduate courses to populate undergraduate minor curriculum. Teach core graduate and undergraduate courses (online).

Serve as undergraduate coordinator. Serve as internship supervisor. Develop and implement recruitment and retention of students (both undergrad and graduate). Serve as main resource for online course development (create uniform guidelines for IOG). Long-term strategic planning for curriculum at IOG.
