Job Title: Security Clerk 

Department: Security and afety 

Reports To: Director of Security & Safety  

Status: Part Time (28 Hours/week) 

 Monday-Wednesday (4pm-8pm), Thursday (11am-8pm), Friday (9am-6pm) 

  

  

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  

1. Create MSMC ID cards for students, employees and alumni as needed by verifying identification, taking the subject’s picture and printing the ID Card. Ensure proper billing for replacement ID cards. 

 2. Replace ink and laminator in the Data Card printers as needed. 

 3. Maintain an inventory of all supplies and originate orders for resupply. 

 4. Troubleshoot and resolve access control problems. 

 5. Update Access file regarding Key Requests and make appropriate notifications. 

 6. Serve as information receptionist and answer phones as needed. 

 7. Process all paperwork and data entry for parking permits; issue permits. Answer   

 inquiries regarding parking tickets, appeals, and related matters. 

 8. Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff and visitors including but not limited to answering inquiries, providing directions, and making referrals to proper personnel and/or offices. 

 9. Issue visitor-parking passes and enter/maintain records in Access file 

10. Enter and track work orders prepared by security personnel. 

11. Enter/modify fire safety chemical records in Quartzy.  

12. Perform basic data entry, scanning, and photocopying of records as needed.  

13. Perform other appropriate duties and responsibilities inherent in the position and/or as assigned. 

  

  

REQUIREMENTS   

  

 1. HS/GED Diploma. 

 2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 

 3. Excellent office software skills (MS Word/Excel/Access). 

 4. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. 

 5. Excellent customer service skills.

The Mount is also easily accessible by plane, with Stewart Airport just minutes from campus. Enrollment/Student Body Profile. Our student body is made up of 2,700+ students representing over 16 states and several countries. 1,800 are traditional undergraduate students.

Academic Programs. The Mount offers 50 undergraduate programs leading to a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. Our collaboration programs offer you a chance to earn a bachelor's degree, plus an advanced degree with schools like Fordham University, Pace University, and New York Medical College. The college also offers master's degrees in education, business, and nursing.
