Assistant Director of Digital Communications (NOTE: Part-Time Temporary position through Hoya Staffing)
Reports to: Patrick Burritt, Senior Director of Digital Marketing & Communication, Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business Office of Marketing and Communications,

Salary: $25.00 per hour
Location: McDonough School of Business, Room 211, Hariri Building
Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Not to exceed 30 hours per week. Any hours over 30 will require Assignment Supervisor's approval IN ADVANCE

The Assistant Director of Digital Communication, a digital production position, is centered around providing excellent digital products to users in their greater efforts as well as to provide a reporting method for the performance these efforts. S/he is required to work closely with McDonough School of Business (MSB) administrative units at all levels. Reporting to the Director of Online Marketing and Communications in the

McDonough School of Business, who reports to the Associate Dean and Chief Marketing Officer, the Assistant Director of Digital Communication has additional duties that include but are not equal to:
  • Oversees HTML page, email, and template creation.
  • Manages cross designing invitations, fliers, and brochures for online and print.
  • Oversees the editing and creating of web style sheets, creating and/or updating web graphics elements.
  • Creates and/or updates landing pages on multiple platforms and html emails on multiple platforms.
  • Develops and edits graphics for print publications.
  • Designs custom social media assets, like graphics and icons.
  • Applies and interprets Google Analytics.
  • Shoots and edits videos, helping out as events as needed.

    Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with web standards and design best practices.
  • 2 years experience with Adobe CS Suite (esp. in Design and Illustrator) Web technologies including Dreamweaver or equivalent HTML editor and the ability to hand code
  • basic HTML and CSS
  • Some exposure to JQuery or Javascript libraries preferred.
  • A strong interest in HTML, CSS, adaptive/responsive layouts
  • Ability to manipulate existing PHP code

    Salary: Commensurate with experience and paid on an hourly basis.
