Job Description:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the American University in Cairo invites applications for adjunct faculty positions at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the School of Sciences and Engineering. Experienced candidates will teach undergraduate/graduate courses in:

Fundamentals of Manufacturing Processes
Quality and Process Control
Engineering and Project Management
Mechanical Systems
Mechanical Design I
Fundamentals of Thermodynamics
Applied Fluid Mechanics
Applied Thermodynamics
System Dynamics
Selection of Materials and Processes for Design
Production and Inventory Control
Mechanical Design II
Heat Transfer
Design of Engineering Systems
Mechanical Engineering Drawing
Computer-Aided Design and Prototyping
Cogeneration & Energy Storage
Polymers and Composites
Sustainability of Thermal Systems
Automatic Control Systems
Engineering Materials


Minimum academic achievement of PhD in related area of specialization; Minimum three years work experience in a related field; English proficiency is a must.

Candidates will teach but not restricted to the above mentioned courses.
