Program Associate/Education Research Fellow

Job description


The Education Research Section (ERS) in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University seeks a Program Associate/ERS Fellow to begin in Fall 2019. In this position, the candidate will cultivate and increase student interest in working, or doing research in, education-related fields. In addition, the candidate will support outreach efforts to increase use of high-quality educational research among state and district leaders, Board of Education members, and principals.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Outreach to Princeton students in order to make them aware of opportunities to study education policy on campus, including planning a “careers in education” series, an independent work symposium, and supporting recruitment of Education Policy Fellows
  • Outreach to educational practitioners, including supporting the planning of multiple conferences annually
  • Managing a monthly newsletter and creating web content
  • Recruitment of preK-12 schools for participation in studies and events
  • Supporting research activities, including coordinating interviews or surveys


  • BA in a social science discipline
  • Writing samples demonstrating strong written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and engage with non-academic audiences
  • Ability to engage with, and support management of, undergraduate students

A competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and excellent benefits will be offered.   Appointment is for one year with the possibility for extension pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
