Conduct thorough, reliable, prompt, fair, and impartial investigations of complaints. Maintain timely communication with all parties and community stakeholders, as appropriate. Act as a neutral party throughout all aspects of the investigation and ensue a prompt, fair, and impartial process for all parties. Compile clear, concise, and comprehensive investigation reports. Maintain a high level of confidentiality during all aspects of the intake, investigation, and resolution of complaints.

Serve as a resource and provide education to the FSU community regarding University policies and procedures, including the Sex Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct Policy. Assist, as needed, with campus training, reporting, campus programming and outreach, and other duties as assigned. Review FSU Title IX-related policies and procedures and work collaboratively with the Director to make recommendations for updates and revisions in consideration of effective and promising practices. Serve on divisional and institutional committees as assigned. Represent Title IX Office at programs and events as needed.

Assist Title IX Director in departmental strategic planning and assessment initiatives. Assist with creating, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting statistical data. Conduct research on state and federal laws and guidance and assess applicability to current complaints. Engage in ongoing and annual professional development and training to meet federal requirements and stay current with trends and issues in the field.Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience related to the duties of the position, or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of related experience (Note: higher education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate).

General understanding of the current trends and issues impacting student populations and higher education. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, determine facts, exercise good judgment, identify solutions, and consistently apply policies, procedures, and laws.

Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills sufficient to successfully interact with students, large groups, faculty, staff, law enforcement, attorneys, family members, the public, and other professionals. Ability to facilitate educational programs and presentations for students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Demonstrated experience in effectively managing highly confidential and sensitive matters and attention to detail.

Computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.Preferred Master's Degree in Higher Education, Educational Leadership, Counseling, Criminology/Criminal Justice, Law, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Human Resources, or other related field.

Experience working with case management software (Maxient, Symplicity Advocate, Pave Systems, etc.) Demonstrated dedication to the principles and values of the field of institutional equity and compliance with the ability to promote self-responsibility and high ethical standards among students, faculty, and staff. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant higher education regulations that impact the student disciplinary processes and associated records including, but not limited to, FERPA, the Clery Act, and Title IX. Ability to conduct investigations, document findings, and maintain thorough and detailed case files. Skilled in working with individuals involved in sexual misconduct, harassment, relationship violence, stalking and retaliation complaints (reporting individuals, responding individuals, witnesses, etc.). Experience and/or training in forms of conflict resolution including conflict coaching, mediation, facilitated dialogues, and restorative justice. Prior completion of sexual violence prevention and/or response training or certification through a nationally-recognized organization.Other Information Please submit resume, cover letter, three professional references, and a writing sample (see prompt below) with application.
