Description:

The Department of History at Clemson University invites applications for a tenured position at the Associate Professor rank as director of a new Digital History program. In the spring of 2019, the Clemson University Board of Trustees approved a PhD program in Digital History with a substantial annual budget. This program will build upon the existing undergraduate emphasis area in digital history and MA in history. We expect the first PhD students to enter in Fall 2021. Applicants for the director position should have a strong research record and vision for the future of the digital history program. The successful applicant will be able to teach digital history courses, advise PhD students, and develop opportunities for students both within and beyond the professoriate.

Clemson University is a doctoral-granting R1 research, land-grant institution in South Carolina enrolling 18,000 undergraduates and 4,800 graduate students with 5,000 ethnic minorities and 1,500 international students.
