The Department of Finance and Economics in the McCoy College of Business Administration invites applications for a tenure-track position in Economics at the assistant professor level, effective Fall 2020. Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate economics courses; conducting research leading to scholarly publications as recognized by the McCoy College; and providing service to the students of Texas State University, the department, the university, and the profession.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have:
• a Ph.D. in Economics must be completed by May 2020;
• field of specialization in macroeconomics; and
• field of specialization in econometrics

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:
• evidence of quality teaching economics at the university level;
• research on macroeconomic issues;
• experience with advanced econometric estimation methods;
• publications in refereed journals; and
• current and/or past external grant support
