Physical Requirements

This position requires occasional lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds, and loading and/or unloading supplies and materials onto carts; sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time; effectively communicating with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varied professional levels; and intermittent job-related travel.


Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., some weekends and evening activities may be required as needed.

Job Summary

Family & Consumer Sciences Extension is currently seeking an Agriculture Extension Associate Senior for Substance Use Prevention and Recovery. The primary functions of this position are to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate research-based Substance Use Prevention and Recovery Extension programs. This position is one of a team that supports Extension professionals and county educators in improving the quality of individual and family life through education, research, and outreach.

Master’s degree and 3 years of experience preferred. Previous work within Cooperative Extension Service preferred.

Driver’s License preferred
