DescriptionBoise State University invites applicants fora tenure-track position at the rank of ASSISTANT or ASSOCIATE Professor withinthe Department of Biological Sciences. 

  We invite applications for a tenure track position inpopulation ecology, at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. We seekcandidates who offer a broad theoretical background in ecology and applycutting edge technology and quantitative skills to understand populationecology. We are particularly interested in individuals who work onanimal systems. Candidates should have a strong interest incollaborative research, including applying theory and skills to a variety oforganisms.

 The successful candidate will develop anexternally-funded research program, teach a graduate course focused onquantitative methods in population ecology and teach one or more courses in ourundergraduate biology curriculum. Candidates will also mentor undergraduate,Master’s and PhD students in research, and play a key role in our PhD programin Ecology, Evolution and Behavior.

 Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD and postdoctoral orequivalent experience in the field related to the position of interest
  • Evidence of scholarly creativity and independence as demonstrated byextramural funding and a strong record of publication (as described in the researchstatement and curriculumvitae)
  • Evidence of teaching and/ormentoring through the use of current pedagogical techniques (as demonstrated in the teachingstatement)
  • Evidence of the commitment tocreate a diverse and inclusive working environment (as demonstrated in the diversity statement)
