 The CU College ofNursing is seeking two full-time faculty members in one of the following fourareas; Health Care Systems, Biobehavioral Science, Health Disparities, andPalliative Care. Rank and potential award of tenure will depend on thecandidate’s qualifications and experience.

 The University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz MedicalCampus College of Nursing is seeking two full-time faculty members (tenureeligible) in one of the following four areas; Health Care Systems,Biobehavioral Science, Health Disparities, and Palliative Care. Rank andpotential award of tenure will depend on the candidate’s qualifications andexperience.

 The candidate’s current and future research focus mayinclude genomics, caring science, pediatrics, women’s health, biological,clinical, behavioral, social, informatics and/or economic research. Thesuccessful candidate must be able to work effectively with faculty, staff,students, and community members from diverse ethnic, cultural, andsocioeconomic backgrounds.

 RESPONSIBILITIES include:
  1. Teach and mentor at both the undergraduate and graduatelevels;
  2. Maintain an active research agenda;
  3. Secure extramural funding;
  4. Serve on departmental and university committees;
  5. Demonstrate a commitment to collaborativeinter-professional research; and
  6. Work with stakeholders in the health, environmental,and social sectors.
    1. Collaborate with the medical campus colleges/school withappropriate inter-professional research centers.
 Appointment Date:  Anticipated appointment date is Fall2020.

QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Anearned doctorate in an appropriate field of science, nursing, social science,or related area;
  • Arecord of scholarship and experience to qualify for the rank of AssistantProfessor, Associate Professor, or Professor in a tenure eligible position;
    • Minimumqualifications for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor include anextensive and continuing body of research published in peer-reviewed scholarlyjournals.
    • Minimumqualifications for appointment at the rank of Professor include a proven trackrecord of extramural funding, substantial scholarship in peer reviewedjournals, national recognition for program of research, and leadership inprofessional organizations.
  • Evidenceof focused area of research;
  • Demonstratedability to effectively teach and mentor students; and
  • Demonstratedpotential for obtaining funding through grants and contracts.
 PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’sin Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Collaborativeresearch record.
  • Completionof Post-Doctorate by time of hire.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing andorally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective workingrelationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
