DescriptionReporting to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team and the president's council, the VPSA provides university-wide leadership on all-inclusive services and programs that promote student engagement and success. Central to these efforts will be the development of close partnerships with key university stakeholders, demonstrating sophistication and breadth of engagement to advance the university's mission and vision through effective communication and guidance with student leaders, administration, faculty and staff. The VPSA provides vision, strategic direction and leadership for a division of almost 200 full-time staff that offers a comprehensive range of student programs and services including the Career Center, Counseling Center, Student Case Management, Health Center, Housing & Residence Life, Campus Recreation, Student Activities, Fraternity & Sorority Life, New Student & Family Programs, Student Success Programs, Civic Engagement & Leadership, Student Conduct & Civility Education, Military & Veterans Center and Events & Conference Services.

QualificationsThe successful candidate will be a highly collaborative, skilled and creative leader with exceptional administrative, financial and managerial skills along with proven experience in a dynamic and complex professional environment. The VPSA will convey an energetic and entrepreneurial vision for the division and will further enhance TU’s position as a thought leader in student affairs, diversity, equity and inclusion practices. The VPSA will display a deep commitment to relational leadership, transparency, external engagement, personal integrity and innovative thinking and problem solving. A doctoral degree and proven record of broad and progressive higher education administrative management and leadership experience is strongly preferred.
