General Description / Primary Purpose

The Coordinator of Training for Accessibility develops and maintains support for conformance with accessibility standards for digital course material and maintains currency in Section 508 and other accessibility standards.

Essential Duties

Job Function

Provides training and support to designers, developers, and faculty that support/create/edit content for academic programs/courses.

Completes accessibility compliance testing and regularly reports results to campus stakeholders.

Provides support and guidance to instructors in the remediation of documents for courses in the LMS.

Required Qualifications

A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization; or a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of experience directly related to the job functions.

Faculty Position Required QualificationsDepartmental Requirements

Preference given to those who meet the required qualifications and also possess the following:
- Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems and common integrations.
- Operational knowledge of assistive technologies used for web browsing.
- Knowledge and experience in online teaching technologies and implementing WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) website accessibility standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Experience in user support, training development and delivery, and project management.
