Job Summary:

The Program Specialist positionfor Project ECHO at OSU-CHS will serve as the OSU Project ECHO programspecialist by providing support in the daily activities related tothe office environment. This individual will serve as the administrativepoint of contact for the Associate Dean and the Director of ProjectECHO and will report under the Director of Project ECHO. The Program Specialistwill assist with communications with organizations involved and interested inProject ECHO such as OSU CHS residency programs, Department Chairs, FederallyQualified Healthcare Centers, Tribal Healthcare Centers, Rural Physicianpractices and the Office of Rural Health to coordinate appointments,written communication, e-mails as requested by the Associated Deanand the Director for Project ECHO. The Program Specialist willsupport the efforts of Project ECHO by maintaining files, editing documents,process of mail, preparation of invoice requests, travel, and duties asrequested that assist in the mission of the department. The Program Specialistwill assist in report generation as requested for data entry and data retrievalfor grants and requested reports to the University and State Agencies.

Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Requirements:
- Associate degree, Vocational or Technical school or equivalent
- At least one (1) year of administrative support experience

Strong background in organizational skills, excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills, Excel, Word and Outlook, ability to partner well with colleagues both in and outside of the organization, ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, ability to compile and produce e-mail correspondence, records maintenance skills, knowledge of customer service standards and procedures, willingness and assistance with available grant resources, ability to take administrative/procedural direction, ability to coordinate meetings, ability to operate computer, calculator, fax, copier, phone, department invoices and orders, requisitions

Preferred:

- Experience in Higher Education

Oklahoma State University-Center for Health Sciences was founded in 1972 and is home to the College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as graduate programs in forensics, biomedicine, healthcare and athletic training.   Our core business is education; and it takes more than 500 faculty and staff members to run our institution.  Our mission is to educate and train osteopathic physicians, research scientists and other healthcare professionals with an emphasis on serving rural and underserved Oklahomans.  We offer more than 10 different specialty clinics to care for patients in the area.
