Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University’s User Services is seeking a User Services Support, Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates OIT software licensing programs and collaborates with the Associate Director of User Services to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Serves as the coordinator to place IT related equipment and parts.
  • Processes incoming requests for CTO over the phone and email.
  • Conducts research to resolve or expedite the resolution of various administrative and technological problems and requests.
  • Creates requisitions and follows up on vendor payment as deemed necessary.
  • Serves as an HR partner to ensure hiring of part-time and full-time employees are on task and completed.
  • Participates in various technical and non-technical projects assigned by Associate Director or CTO. The nature and functionality of the projects vary by individual and change over time as necessary to accomplish the University's academic mission.
  • Collaborates with OIT's Fiscal Management team to ensure departmental budget spreadsheets are kept up-to-date.
  • Serves as backup to OIT Help Desk to provide first and second tier support such as wireless configuration of student, staff and faculty laptops, pin-resets for Banner, account creation, and password resets.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent and seven years of appropriate experience; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.

Must also have excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

Experience using Workday preferred.

Valid driver's license required.

Salary:

$15.00 to $25.00 per hour
