ECU Office of Clinical Trials is seeking Federal Work-Study students to work up to 20 hours per week as a Clinical Research Assistants.

The office is located in the ECU Brody School of Medicine on the Health Science campus. The hours are regular and flexible but ultimately dependent upon the needs of the office.

The Clinical Research Assistant assists the Office of Clinical Trials to implement the safe execution and conduct of clinical trials per federal, state and institutional guidelines by performing tasks. Tasks can be delegated by including investigators, managers, and coordinators.
The Research Assistant will be exposed and trained to Clinical Research concepts and Research Administration. Additional training about Human Subjects Research and Protected Health Information (PHI) will be required. The administrative duties include:
•Answering the phones
•Filing research documents
•Making copies
•Assisting special projects from staff or faculty
•Organizing and scheduling space for research faculty meetings
•Maintaining research databases and/or developing spreadsheets for various topics
•Developing tools for research study teams
•Coordinating updates to the website and intranet
•Creating public-facing videos
•Performing related duties as assigned

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)

All students are encouraged to apply. Graduate Students and Upperclassmen with interests in the medical disciplines on the ECU Health Science campus are preferred. Majors in Public Health, Nursing, and Allied Health are ideal.
