Responsible for operational and administrative oversight of the Facilities Maintenance Department. Serves as a member of the senior management team. Provides direction and oversight regarding the corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance programs to the Facilities Maintenance Assistant Directors responsible for the department's zone maintenance program.
Participates in the development and administration of the Facilities Maintenance Critical Maintenance Capital Plan. Also, develops capital improvement plans to take advantage of cost savings opportunities or reliability improvements. Leads the strategic planning effort for the Facilities Maintenance team. Ensures that the mission of Facilities Maintenance is fully integrated into University Strategic Plan. Participates in the development of University / Facilities policies and procedures. Ensures that the maintenance group remains in compliance with all Federal, State, local and University environmental and safety regulations. Programs included, but not limited to are: Refrigerant Management Program, MS4 Phase II Stormwater, confined space, the asbestos abatement program and Lab Work Permit Program.
Develops and manages the customer service program for the Facilities Maintenance Department. Maintains contact with University officials and various levels of University administrative, research and academic staff to ensure quality control and customer satisfaction. Tracks the 5star service rating KPI and develops plans for improvement.
Works with other University resources to develop and maintain KPI's. Incorporates accepted continuous improvement processes such as LEAN and 5S into the normal maintenance processes. Manages to transition to an asset based preventative maintenance program with the appropriate metrics to ensure both the quality and satisfactory execution.Qualifications Master's degree and four years of experience related to facilities and/or grounds services; or a Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in the same areas.

Knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices of management.
A valid State of Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain.Preferred Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal and state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
