Provides administrative support for the Facilities HR office by assisting walk-ins with applications, completing OMNI HR processes, and answering general HR related
Supports Assistant Director, FHR and FHR Generalists with transactional processes by initiating appropriate personnel actions for Facilities employees, to include, but
not limited to: employee separations, changes in position descriptions, changes in assignments, pre-employment checks, etc.
Assists with special projects and presentations, coordination of the FSU Community Service/Probation Program, and other tasks as needed.
Serves as a liaison with Facilities departments on the biweekly time and labor and payroll processes, including monitoring time and labor data transfers to OMNI; assisting department representatives in the resolution of time and labor and payroll issues; recommending and implementing procedures and processes to increase efficiency of time and labor and payroll processes; and monitoring the Facilities cost center reports for accuracy and compliance.Qualifications High school diploma/equivalency and four years of experience related to the duties of this position.
(Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.)
Ability to gather, interpret, report, and use data and other information concerning assigned activities.
Ability to perform work accurately in a detail oriented environment.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Working knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of principles, practices, and standards of human resource administration in assigned area.
Knowledge of processes, procedures, and methods used in facilities operations
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Preferred Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related University policies and procedures.Pay Plan This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.Schedule The required schedule is Monday to Fridya, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
