The Digital Library Center (DLC) supports the creation and longevity of Florida State University digital projects. It provides FSU faculty, staff, and community members with expertise in the digitization of materials, digital project management, metadata creation, and digital preservation. Services include digitization of Special Collections & Archives materials as well as providing consultation for the university’s digital projects. Additionally, the DLC manages and maintains the Florida State University Digital Library (DigiNole).
This position will report to the Sunshine State Digital Network Coordinator and work closely with the Metadata Librarian and Digital Archivist. The Digital Library Metadata Technician will be evaluating digital collections metadata, evaluating the copyright status of objects, and generating documentation for current and future projects. A successful candidate will be detail oriented, self-directed, and

Other duties as assignedQualifications Comfortable with collaborative work technologies (video-conferencing, Google Suite, etc.)
Attention to detail
Familiarity with spreadsheets (Google sheets or Microsoft Excel)Preferred Understanding of digital collections metadata standards (Dublin Core, MODS, etc.)
