Ensures regulatory compliance of CTBS and performs long range planning and problem solving. Manages center operations and implements changes to promote effective and efficient operations. Oversees the coordination of activities, events and staff in support of program initiatives and strategic initiatives. Monitors adherence to established administrative and financial policies and procedures. Responsible for the development and implementation of department policies and procedures and stays apprised of changes in University and COM policies and procedures. Represents the department with all levels of administration to units internal and external to COM and FSU. Oversees development and implementation of department communications and public relations policies and procedures to include marketing, website, social media outlets, newsletters, etc. Assists faculty in all community liaison activities.

Manages all executive, administrative, and analytical support to the Director, faculty, and staff for the Center for Translational Behavioral Science in a wide variety of administrative and professional functions. Exercises discretionary authority in distribution of relevant information, keeping sensitive information confidential. Manages internal functions and activities of the Director's Office with other center staff. Supports program direction and development via coordination of Director's commitments and activities. Serves as department representative for all finance and administrative activities, acting as first point of contact for transactional accounting and human resources needs. Assists director with administrative processes for faculty to include gathering of data for annual evaluations, promotion and tenure, completion of FACET reporting, faculty development records, annual reports, AOR’s, back-up for departmental time and leave processing, etc.

Serves as liaison for the center Director to external agencies at the national and international level and committees. This includes External Advisory Committee, external government and scientific agencies, and scientists at a national and international level. Communicates daily with faculty and staff of the center concerning implementation and/or changes to policies and procedures of the lab and university.

Exercises administrative lead in planning and coordinating Center's annual review and report. Manages Director's correspondence and disseminates information through established communication procedures. Manages current and ongoing projects and items for the Director to meet upcoming deadlines. Processes and submits foundation disbursement requests, purchase orders and travel authorizations for the Center. Oversees maintenance of foundation accounts and department budgets. Responsible for scheduling, travel arrangements, preparation of meeting materials and presentations, correspondence and reports and other related duties assuring logistics and necessary follow-up. Plans and arranges center social functions, meetings and other events.

Manage/oversight of administrative requirements of contracts and grants to include development and submission of grant proposals, periodic and final reports, interpretation of grant regulations and procedures, development and implementation of administrative procedures for managing and utilizing grant resources and monitoring project progress and completion, interfaces with Sponsored Research Office, COM Pre- Award office, COM post-Award office, coordination of grant activities among institutions and sub-contractors, etc. Supervises staff positions of the center, recruits, hires, trains and evaluates staff. Promotes an atmosphere of teamwork in accomplishing the strategic initiatives and the mission of the COM.Qualifications Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.).

Experience drafting and proofreading business correspondence.
Experience performing accurately in a detail-oriented environment.
Experience compiling, reviewing, and reconciling data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Experience demonstrating effective customer service skills.
Ability to relate to patients in a calm manner.

Florida or Georgia Driver's License; or the ability to obtain.Preferred Experience maintaining accurate records and retrieve files from active or archive sources. Basic filing practices to include numeric and alphabetic systems.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of event planning and ability to coordinate, organize and evaluate meetings and/or events.
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
Experience with the concepts, principles, and practices of accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.Anticipated Salary Range Anticipate hiring between high 40,000's to low 50,000's.Pay Plan This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.Soft Money Funded Position This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
