The Program Director of Enterprise Security Architecture is responsible for leading the analysis, design and implementation of a university wide enterprise security architecture to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of FSU technologies and data supporting the mission of the University.

Assist with creation and implementation of an enterprise security architecture using defense in depth for on premise and cloud technologies to protect all university assets and data in a highly distributed environment. Developing requirements and design specifications; identifying integration approaches and options; proof of concept and feasibility assessments. Defining objectives, technical work, plans and timelines for implementing security architecture components. Coordinating project teams in planning, design, and implementation activities. Overseeing security engineering and architecture design and development. Assisting with the design and implementation of required security strategies; and, configuration of required technologies and services.

Designing and implementing vulnerability and penetration tests with vendors or internal personnel. Lead remediation efforts and manage ongoing vulnerability management program.

Design, plan and perform review of code using industry security best practices using third-party providers and internal personnel.

Develop plans and coordinate internal personnel and third-party providers to conduct cybersecurity risk assessments on information systems and infrastructure using relevant standards. Effectively articulate findings and recommendations to university stakeholders and develops appropriate risk remediation strategy and execution.

Manage vulnerability management program by developing partnerships with Information Security Managers in University Units to identify vulnerabilities across campus, work with system owners to remediate findings accordingly to FSU policy. Lead the Vulnerability Management team to perform scanning and coordinate remediation with University units.Qualifications Bachelor's degree and six years experience related to technical services or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to ten years.

Expert knowledge of Network protocols, network topologies, network segmentation, Cloud security and mobile security, Encryption technologies and cryptography, IPS/IDS/Firewalls, Linux, Windows, Operating System and Application/System Hardening techniques

Experience designing and implementing business and technology solutions in large, complex IT environments

Working Knowledge of Virtual infrastructure, SQL , SQL Server and Oracle databases, Open source cybersecurity tools, Kali Linux, Mac OS X, IOS, Shell script development , Nessus, Nexpose, Qualys, NMAP, Metasploit, Software development methods, Multiple programming languages, NIST Cybersecurity standards and frameworks; ISO standards; COBIT, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, FISMA, FERPA, SANS, CGISs

Knowledge of information technology security measures.

Ability to convey technical information to technical and nontechnical users.

Ability to conduct audits and investigations.

Ability to provide leadership and direction in programmatic, budgetary, and operational functions.

Ability to strategically plan and serve as a catalyst for organizational change, cultivate a shared vision with others, and motivate others to transfer vision into action.Preferred Project Management (PMP) certifications

CISSP or CEH

AWS certified security engineer

Experience implementing an organizational wide security architecture in higher education

Experience with Oracle, PeopleSoft, Salesforce and ServiceNow

Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field or 15+ years’ experience in information technology security or other relevant information technology disciplinesPay Plan This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.Schedule If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting.
