• Doctoral Degree in Nursing or Associated Field preferred
• Minimum of Master’s Degree with Nursing Major
• Current FL License to Practice Nursing
• 2 Years Equivalent FT Clinical Practice Experience as Registered Nurse
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Theoretical and clinical expertise in medical-surgical nursing is required with additional ability to teach psychiatric or obstetric nursing preferred
• Documented experience with applied teaching and learning methodologies
• Ability to use technological tools in instruction, and familiarity with active, collaborative and student-centered techniques
• Ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
• Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments
