The Department of Accounting and Finance at University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Finance, beginning September 1, 2020. Candidates in all areas of interest but especially in the fields of investment, asset pricing, and financial econometrics, are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates are expected to teach and supervise PhD students in our finance PhD program. Prior experience in teaching PhD students and involvement in PhD programs will be valuable. A PhD in Finance or other related disciplines is required, but ABDs who will be completed by no later than 8/31/20 will be considered.

The Department is part of the AACSB-accredited College of Management (CM). CM offers two bachelor’s degrees, five master’s degrees, and a PhD in Business Administration which consist of a Finance track and an Organizations and Social Change (OSC) track. Total enrollment in the College has grown rapidly to about 2600 students. Among other Business Centers, the College has established a Financial Services Forum which is a source of current information and commentary on the health and critical issues facing the financial services industry in Boston and nationally. The College of Management is increasingly interested in the complex roles business plays in an increasingly transnational society.
