Job Description
This position is responsible for membership and visitor services for the Art Museum of South Texas .


  • Manages Art Museum's membership, assists the volunteers to maintain a strong and growing membership base that supports the Museum financially and builds positive awareness in the community.
  • Develops and maintains strong community presence and builds partnerships with community organizations through speakers bureau, promotional and other communications programs.
  • Develops strategies for measuring and enhancing visitor experience, works with the education staff and the assistant director. Maintains signage, web presence and publications that enhance this.
  • Creates programs and experiences that drive visitors to the Museum. Implementation of experiences and programs that enhance the visitor and membership programs.
  • Supervises data base support staff,; prepares budgets for membership and participates in department head and board meetings for the Museum. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three (3) years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of event planning.

  • $40,712
