Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include serving as an attending physician who has the knowledge and skills in all technical and regulatory aspects of transfusion medicine and HLA clinical services. Candidates should have experience in teaching and scholarly accomplishments and will be required to obtain a medical license in the state of Illinois.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience:

The Department of Pathology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine is seeking a board-certified clinical pathologist who is ABP board-certified or board-eligible in blood banking/transfusion medicine. Annually, the laboratory is responsible for over 50,000 transfusions, nearly 1000 therapeutic apheresis procedures and supports all quaternary services including Level 1 Trauma as well as active and growing stem cell, solid-organ and tissue transplantation programs.
