The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia seeks an Assistant Director of Program Marketing & Outreach to develop and implement strategic marketing and outreach campaigns to meet enrollment goals across multiple graduate business and/or non-degree programs. They will collaborate with other members of the Graduate Marketing & Recruiting team as well as the School’s Communications and Marketing Office to create marketing content and collateral, communications, and advertising placement plans. The Assistant Director of Program Marketing & Outreach will implement outreach campaigns across a variety of media, plan and host recruitment events, and develop key relationships with targeted organizations. They will also counsel and advise prospective students (in-person, by phone and by email) using a consultative sales approach.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of experience in marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, college/professional recruitment or a related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in in strong written and oral communications skills and the ability to relate well to the career and educational needs of prospective students
  • Proven success using social or digital media to generate leads for product sales, services, or student enrollment
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, strong organizational and problem skills, technology proficiency, outstanding customer service, and commitment to diversity are essential

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to be a quick learner, active listener, supportive of diverse perspectives/backgrounds, and possess a strong creative intuition
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Master’s Degree

** This position is located in Northern Virginia and will require occasional travel to Charlottesville and other locations. **
