The IT Systems Engineer, under the direction of an Assistant Director or above, designs, develops, and implements systems following departmental processes and/or programs. Recommends policies and procedures to ensure effective coordination of departmental programs.Essential Duties Job Function
Responsible for the design and architecture of computing systems around the Microsoft Server, SQL, SharePoint, and Azure infrastructure including Office 365 elements SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
Formulate and recommend to higher management policies and procedures required to provide efficient and effective service to the university clients.
Work collaboratively with university staff to ensure success. May interpret departmental policies for area of responsibility.
During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.Percentage Of Time100 Posting Detail Information Marginal Functions
The incumbent provides training and consultation to other IT staff regularly.Required Qualifications
A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization; or a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of experience directly related to the job functions.Faculty Position Required QualificationsDepartmental Requirements
Preference shown to applicants who meet the required qualifications and also possess the following:
Expertise and practical experience installing, configuring, and managing server platforms including Microsoft Windows Server, SharePoint On-Prem and SharePoint Online.
Have PowerShell skills including the ability to write from scratch. Understanding of Microsoft O365 platforms and development – SharePoint, Teams, PowerShell, and SharePoint Framework required; PowerApps, Flow, Azure Automation, PowerShell, Graph API a plus.
