Kitchen ManagerThe Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine

Location: New Orleans, LA

Summary

The kitchen manager for The Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine (GCCM) will provide organizational and kitchen support for the Center. Will work closely with director of operations to ensure the mission and goals of the Center are achieved. Will be responsible for orienting, training, overseeing, delegating to rotating interns, volunteers, medical residents, and medical students. The kitchen manager will support the culinary medicine instructors in culinary medicine classes. Will oversee and contribute to kitchen production, operational tasks, and sanitation. They will be responsible for the good and supply purchasing, inventory, and storage for the Center.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree
OR

  • High school diploma/equivalent and 2 years of directly related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • One year or more of culinary or kitchen experience
  • Experience in controlling costs and product purchasing
  • Knowledge of the HACCP and Louisiana Department of Health Food Codes
