Financial Services Supervisor Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 201909156381 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $55,000 - $108,500 Position Information The BEES Administrative Unit provides business services for a large and complex operation encompassing extensive teaching, research, and outreachcomponents for the Botanic Gardens, Earth & Planetary Sciences, and Environmental Sciences in the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS). In addition,BEES supports the UCR employees and campus purchases of the USDA Salinity Laboratory and provides conference management support for all unitswithin CNAS. Under the general direction of the Financial & Administrative Officer (FAO), the Financial Services Supervisor will supervise the BEES teamthat handles purchasing, travel and non-travel reimbursements, equipment inventory, academic recruitment and removal, and coordination of departmentevents. The Financial Services Supervisor is responsible for Conference Management Services for all units within CNAS. The incumbent will overseecash-handling functions and may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends. In the absence of the FAO and the Financial Operations Manager, the Financial Services Supervisor will serve as supervisor for the BEES unit. Annual salary may be limited to $66,000 due to budgetary constraints. Please note: Applicants will be required to complete a skills assessment as part of the selection process. Minimum Requirements Strong interpersonal skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, ability to multi-task effectively in a high volume environment, organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage changing priorities, and manage staff time and efforts accordingly.
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Proficiency in use of spreadsheet and database software.
Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures
Basic working knowledge of financial transactions and financial systems.
Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years prior experience as a supervisor.

Demonstrated knowledge of UC and UCR policies and procedures.

Experience working in an institution of higher education.

Ability to perform complex financial analysis and customized reporting. Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.

Prior experience using UCR's online applications.
