Description Job Purpose: Supervise outreach and student advisement services in support of the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OFSA) which administers student financial assistance programs including scholarships, grants, loans and student work arrangements. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.
Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinate development of publications and web content in promoting services of OFSA and opportunities for student financial aid.
- Supervise and participate in providing advice to students regarding various aspects of OFSA programs including eligibility, appeals review and academic standards.
- Coordinate the periodic review of all aid recipients records with regard to compliance with Standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Administer outreach and communications programs in compliance with applicable consumer information regulations.
- Plan, organize, train, supervise and monitor performance of assigned staff.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Work Experience: Five to seven years of job related experience
- Certifications: N/A
- Skills: This job requires working knowledge of the processes involved in financial aid management within a university with specialized related knowledge of program communications. Additional skills include supervision and team leadership, communications, training/presentation and customer service and use of office related and specialized computer applications.

- Preferred Skills: Experience using the Student Information System Banner within a financial aid setting. Skills in financial modeling and project management experience.
