    SUMMARY:
    Office Profile: The Student Conduct Office is responsible for the administration of studentvconduct and student care.

    ROLE
    The Director of Student Conduct's role is the implementation of the office's judicial and educational functions as it relates to the mission of Concordia University Irvine and the Student Code of Conduct. All activities from the Office of Student Conduct are to make a significant contribution to the fulfillment
    of the mission of the university.

    SUPERVISION:
    Associate Vice president/ Dean of Students

    SAFETY:
    Employees are responsible for complete cooperation with all aspects of the safety and health program, including compliance with all rules and regulations, and for continuously practicing safety while performing their duties. Supervisors are responsible for developing proper attitudes toward safety and health in themselves, and
    in those they supervise, and for ensuring that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved, including themselves.

    Student Conduct (50%):
    1. Serve as student conduct hearing officer for the university. Meet with students to discuss policy expectations and adjudicate alleged policy violations.
    2. Develop and maintain Student Conduct database.
    3. Develop and publish the Student Code of Conduct, which includes policies, adjudication processes, mediation procedures, and sanctions.
    4. Make referrals to the Associate Dean of Students, Director of Counseling Services, Director of Health Services, Director of Campus Safety, Director of Athletics, Associate Vice President/Dean of students, and other on-campus/off-campus entities when appropriate.
    5. Assist Director of Campus Safety to track Cleary statistics and write reports related to student conduct and Title IX matters.
    6. Track student conduct cases and sanctions, generate reports, and evaluate best practices.
    7. Communicate and interface with parents and ensure parental notifications are timely and in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
    8. Assist in the development and implementation of various in-service trainings for Residential Education and Services para-professional staff on Student Conduct issues.
    9. Assess and monitor Student Learning Outcomes and Department Outcomes for Co-Curricular assessment related to student conduct and create an annual report.
    10. Serve as repository for academic honesty policy violations, issue educational sanctions, and monitor completion.
    11. Complete background checks and provide clearance for all student employment and leadership positions on campus.
    12. Function as student conduct database administrator and maintain letter templates, sanction language, and user information.
    13. Coordinate educational sanction needs on an annual basis and schedule classes.
    14. Serve on Student Policy Committee.
    15. Update and complete Bi-Annual Alcohol Report.

    Title IX Deputy Coordinator (15%):
    1. Serve as a lead investigator for Title IX investigations.
    2. Prepare detailed reports upon completion of investigation for Title IX Deputy Coordinator review and final determination.
    3. Maintain Title IX case files in the database system.
    4. Implement, update, and maintain Title IX Correspondence templates in the database system.
    5. Collaborate with relevant campus offices to maintain the University's Title IX Resource Guide.
    6. Collaborate with Title IX Chief Coordinator on training and development for faculty, staff, and students on Title IX related issues.
    7. Coordinate with Director of Campus Safety on Clery reporting statistics under Title IX.

    ACC Case Manager (35%)
    1. Serve as general records keeper for weekly ACC meetings including taking all notes and keeping the data in an easily accessible format.
    2. Enter all records into the Behavioral Intervention Team event management system.
    3. Support ACC members by providing access to the individual student intervention plan assisting committee members with the implementation and follow-up of those plans.
    4. Intervene and counsel residents on behavioral, emotional, health and safety issues and make appropriate referrals to on- and off- campus entities; counsel individuals and/or groups regarding personal and/or academic needs and university policy.
    5. Research and implement risk management tools and inventories.
    *Other duties may be assigned

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience working in student
    conduct in a college/university community setting, with the majority of years of experience in a
    leadership role preferred; Master's degree in College Student Affairs, Administration, Counseling, or
    related field; Experience working in a Christian liberal arts institution is highly desirable.
