We are currently seeking a Student Life Coordinator who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.
You: Outgoing, energetic and you love meeting and helping people – especially students.
Your mission: Manage and implement program activities and services that enhance student leadership, participation, good citizenship, success and retention.
Your methods: Variety will be the name of the game. You’ll be publicizing student events; working with new student organizations on their constitutions and bylaws; encouraging faculty and student interaction; and getting involved with outreach and recruitment efforts.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Bachelor’s degree in counseling or other student services related area.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience demonstrated an academic related environment and in a community college academic or student service area.
Experience with outreach activities between a college or university and the community
Previous experience working with volunteers and an understanding of service learning is required for Coleman College.

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organization and written and oral communication skills
Demonstrate a commitment to student diversity and the ability to work with a racially and culturally diverse student body, faculty, and staff
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required
Ability to work independently; ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines
Proficiency with personal computer various software packages such as MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). PeopleSoft network use a plus
